The E-flite Commander mPd EFL14850 is a 1.4m wingspan sport plane designed as an ideal step up from a trainer, combining approachable flying characteristics with genuine performance capability. Co-designed by RC aircraft veterans David Payne and Mirco Pecorari, this BNF Basic RC plane arrives factory-finished in a striking blue and white trim scheme with the electronics pre-installed, so assembly takes less than an hour with no glue required. The 55.12-inch wingspan and composite-reinforced EPO airframe keep the model lightweight yet durable, while Spektrum AS3X technology delivers the locked-in stability that makes it feel planted and predictable in the air. SAFE Select adds an optional flight envelope protection mode, giving less experienced pilots a safety net they can switch off as their confidence grows.

Key Features

• Spektrum Avian 45A Smart Lite ESC supports both 3S 11.1V and 4S 14.8V LiPo packs — 3S gives strong everyday performance while 4S unlocks more speed and unlimited vertical capability, with no modifications needed to switch between them.
• The installed Spektrum AR631 6-channel receiver provides real-time telemetry including battery voltage, current, and RPM when paired with a compatible Spektrum transmitter and Smart-capable setup.
• Six metal-geared sub-micro servos with ball-link linkages deliver precise, consistent control response across all surfaces including functional flaps, which improve slow-speed handling and shorten takeoff and landing distances.
• The two-piece wing features hands-free connections for quick assembly and disassembly, making transport and storage straightforward without tools.
• Compatible with the Spektrum DXS transmitter bundled with many E-flite and HobbyZone trainer models, meaning pilots upgrading from a trainer may already own a suitable radio.
